Terms of Service

The rules of the table.

Last updated October 10, 2026

Plain terms for diners and restaurant owners using KitchenSpot.

  1. 1. Who we are

KitchenSpot is operated by Lumoras LLC (“we”, “us”). By using kitchenspot.ai or the KitchenSpot app, creating an account or ordering through it, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use KitchenSpot.

  2. 2. Your account

You must be at least 13 to create an account, and 18 to place orders, book tables or manage a restaurant.

You can sign up with an email and password or with Google. Keep your sign-in private; you’re responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else is using it.

  3. 3. Reviews, ratings and photos

Reviews and dish ratings must describe your own visit. Don’t post reviews you were paid or rewarded for, reviews of a restaurant you own, work for or have a family or business tie to, reviews of a competitor, copied text, ads, hate, harassment or anything illegal. Only post photos you took or have the right to share.

Your review shows the name on your account. You can change your review by writing it again; ask us at [email protected] to remove it.

We follow our trust pledge. We don’t remove or hide a review because it is negative, and no one can pay us to. We remove content, or close accounts, that break these rules. Our software holds some reviews for a person to check first, for example ones with links or copied text. Owners can ask us to check a review; we judge it by the same rules.

A receipt photo, or a paid KitchenSpot order at the restaurant, marks a review as Verified. Verified reviews appear first and count more in awards. Receipt photos are private: only our staff see them, to check the visit.

You keep ownership of what you post. You give KitchenSpot a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, show, adapt (for example resize a photo or show a short quote) and share it on KitchenSpot and in our marketing of KitchenSpot, for as long as it stays up.

  4. 4. Copyright complaints

If you believe something on KitchenSpot infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with: your contact details, the work, the link to the material, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner, and your signature. We remove material when the notice is valid and close the accounts of repeat infringers. If your content was removed by mistake, you can send us a counter-notice.

  5. 5. Restaurant information, menus and photos

Restaurant listings start from OpenStreetMap. Many menus were read automatically, by software and AI, from a restaurant’s own website; those are marked until the owner verifies them. Prices, hours, dishes and diet tags (such as vegan or gluten-free) can be wrong or out of date.

Allergies: KitchenSpot doesn’t list allergens and can’t promise a dish is safe for you. Always ask the restaurant before you order if you have an allergy or a dietary need.

When a dish has no photo from its owner or a diner, we may show a stock photo from Pexels, credited “Photo by … on Pexels”. It shows what the dish usually looks like, not that restaurant’s plate.

  6. 6. Pickup orders and bookings

When you order, you buy from the restaurant, not from KitchenSpot. The restaurant is the seller. You pay it through a secure checkout run by its payment provider (Stripe, Square or Clover). The restaurant sets prices and sales tax, prepares the food and is responsible for the order.

If the restaurant cancels your order, you’re refunded in full to your card, usually within 5 to 10 days. For any other problem with an order, contact the restaurant first; if it doesn’t help, write to [email protected] and we’ll help you reach it.

We text the mobile number you give at checkout about that order, such as when it’s ready. See Text messages in our Privacy Policy.

Table bookings go to the restaurant, which runs its own tables. KitchenSpot doesn’t charge diners a fee for orders or bookings.

  7. 7. For restaurant owners

To manage a listing you must be authorized to act for the restaurant. We check ownership with an automated call to the restaurant’s listed phone number that reads a code, an email to an address at the restaurant’s website domain, or a business document. You’re responsible for your menu, prices, allergen and diet information, hours, photos and replies, and for following food, tax and consumer laws.

Owners and staff must not review their own restaurant or a competitor, pay or reward anyone for a review, ask only happy guests for reviews, or threaten or pressure reviewers. If you text or email guests a review link, you need their permission to contact them.

By adding a mobile number for order alerts, you agree that we text it when an order arrives and call it with an automated voice message if an order isn’t accepted within 3 minutes. You can change or remove the number any time.

Taking orders through Stripe means opening a Stripe Express account, under the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Connecting Square or Clover is subject to that provider’s own terms. The restaurant handles chargebacks and disputes on its orders with its payment provider.

  8. 8. Paid plans and billing

Owner Pro and the Starter, Growth and Premium ad plans are monthly subscriptions. They renew automatically each month at the price shown when you subscribe, charged to your card through Stripe, until you cancel. A free trial turns into a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.

You can cancel any time in your dashboard (Billing → Manage billing for Owner Pro, Ads → Plans for ad plans). Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan stays on until the end of the period you paid for. We don’t refund time already started, unless the law requires it.

Pay-as-you-go campaigns (Spotlight, Promoted dish, newsletter features, deal boosts) are paid upfront at the price shown. Promoted search is billed per click: clicks are counted once per visitor per day, totalled each month and charged to your card on file. We stop showing the ad once it reaches the daily budget or spending cap you set.

Pickup orders carry a per-order fee to the restaurant, shown before you turn ordering on. With Stripe or Square it is taken from the payment; with Clover it is invoiced monthly to your card on file. Bookings carry a per-diner fee, also shown first. Fees are refunded on orders that are cancelled. Prices don’t include taxes. We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change applies to you.

Paid placements are always labeled Sponsored. They include Spotlight, Promoted dishes, Promoted search, newsletter features and deal boosts, and Owner Pro and ad plans include a Sponsored spot on the city’s dish list. Paying never changes a restaurant’s own rating, rank or awards.

  9. 9. Acceptable use

Don’t scrape KitchenSpot at scale, interfere with it, try to reach accounts or data that aren’t yours, fake clicks or views, or use it to send spam. Automated access is allowed only through features we offer for it.

  10. 10. Our content and others'

KitchenSpot’s design, rankings, awards and software belong to Lumoras LLC.

Restaurant locations are © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. Stock photos are from Pexels under the Pexels license, credited to each photographer.

  11. 11. Disclaimers and liability

KitchenSpot is provided “as is”. Ratings and reviews are opinions of diners, not ours, and AI summaries of reviews can be imperfect. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid KitchenSpot in the 12 months before it or $100.

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim against us comes from content you posted or from your breaking these terms.

Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be waived.

  12. 12. Ending your use

You can stop using KitchenSpot at any time and ask us to delete your account at [email protected]. Owners can cancel paid plans as described above. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

  13. 13. Changes and law

We’ll post changes here and update the date above; for material changes we’ll email account holders first. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Questions: [email protected].
