An affordable restaurant in Florida is one where an appetizer or entrée costs under $15 and a full meal lands under $20. KitchenSpot covers Sarasota, Tampa, Orlando and Miami at launch, pulling restaurant data from OpenStreetMap and reading menus from each restaurant's own website or from menu photos so you can compare actual prices before you order pickup. You pay no service fee on a pickup order; the restaurant covers a $1 application fee per completed order. ## Affordable Restaurants in Florida: What Counts as Affordable When Florida diners search for affordable restaurants, they are usually looking for a specific price band: a starter or entrée under $15 and a full entrée with a side or drink under $20. That range covers a lot of ground in Tampa, Orlando, Miami and Sarasota, from a plate of Cuban sandwiches at a local joint to a bowl of pho at a family-run restaurant. KitchenSpot lists restaurants imported from OpenStreetMap, so the pool of affordable options in each city is broad and updated as new OpenStreetMap data arrives. Menus on KitchenSpot are read from the restaurant's own website or from photos of the printed menu, which means the prices you see are the prices the restaurant actually posts. ## Finding Affordable Dishes by Price on KitchenSpot Most diners search for a dish, not a restaurant name. They type in a plate of gouda fries, a bowl of rice and beans, or a specific Tampa-style burger and want to know where they can get it for under $15. KitchenSpot ranks dishes by city on its dishes ranked by city page, using each dish's average rating pulled toward 3.6 by the weight of 5 ratings so one or two reviews cannot push a dish to the top. Ranks are saved once a day. Diners pay no service fee on pickup orders. The restaurant pays a $1 per order application fee, and KitchenSpot keeps that fee only on completed orders. A cancelled or refunded order refunds the $1 to the restaurant. Payment runs through Stripe Connect or Square, so the money lands in the restaurant's own account. ## Affordable Pickup Orders: How Pricing Works The pricing model is simple for both sides. The diner pays the menu price, nothing more. The restaurant pays $1 per completed order, and KitchenSpot does not take the fee on a cancelled or refunded order. If the restaurant uses Square or Clover, the order and payment land directly in the restaurant's own account; Square takes the $1 fee on each payment and Clover invoices it monthly to a card on file. If the restaurant has no POS or is not listed on a supported system, it takes orders on the KitchenSpot Orders screen and is paid through Stripe on its own account. There is no cost-per-click billing. Ads are bought by the day or through a monthly plan, and paid placements in search are always labelled as sponsored with a
